Accessibility Biases in Immersive Media Education
January 27, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
We’re excited to announce our next event for the Eyebeam Fold community! If you haven’t yet joined the Fold, we invite you to do so now and take part in our virtual event on January 27, 2022, at 12 pm EST featuring artists Kevin Gotkin and Ezra Benus. In this roundtable discussion titled “Accessibility Biases in Immersive Media Education,” they will discuss the areas of their work that address introducing accessibility pedagogy as a starting point in immersive media education and not as an afterthought. We see this bias occurring in all forms of media disciplines, be it movement-based, in the built environment, physical computing, and digitally. ASL and Cart will be provided by SignNexus. We hope you can join us.
Throughout 2022, Fold members will be invited to monthly virtual events, including artist talks, sneak peeks at Eyebeam fellows’ works in progress, salons, and community conversations as we put artists front and center in forging new paths toward a more just future.
